White V6\. Project OEM+….................. NOW SOLD>>

  • Yeh i do think they look nice too, sad to see a member leave though.

  • @9e8ebe5f8a:

Del Sol's are nice enough, I was considering one but insurance was crazy money, for a drivers car an earlier box shape CRX is better. All the old CRX owners I know/knew look down on the Del Sols as being too heavy, too much body flex etc. I will admit though the targa/transtop thing is cool as f**k!

Good luck with it if you do get one though, should be nice on the odd day of good weather!

Ye the targa top is selling it to me quite a bit to be fair! Also the B16a engine is an amazing engine…. Really good specs, fast and economical.

Not sure about the insurance yet, i had the civic VTi when i was 21 so now at nearly 25 im hoping the CRX wont be too much.

  • To be fair i can honestly say that as a 1.8 the mx just doesnt cut the meat!, it should have atleast had the 323 v6 engine from factory. If i didnt do the ze conversion i can sadly say the mx would have gone by now. A horrible thing to say i know!!.
Still 6 years later im still loving it :D

Garfy… take yourself outback and give yourself a good slapping...

  • Ha ha, ill stand in the corner and think about what i just said.

  • Sorry to say I'll stick with Garfy on this one, KLZE MX3 is just a different animal, please don't slap me!

  • +1

The 1.8 has the nice sound but not much to bak it up with.

  • Without the 1.8 the 2.5 conversion would be alot harder to do! I would rather have a 1.8 for daily driver, but regardless of engine power you have got to love the MX3 for its looks and handling :D

  • i fear ur mistake might have been trying to style the 1.8 insteado f dropping the 2.5 in for the performance ur after. personally ive only ever owned mx-3's i started with a 1.6 (YIKES!!!!) but despite getting my ass handed to me by saxos corsas and the like. i decided to go v6 mx-3. honestly ive never driven a 1.8 v6 so iwouldnt know the difference heh. but lets put it this way. the klze is soo good i bought 2 heh

  • Agreed, I will never drive a 1.8 again… once you go KLZE you don't go back :) that's why I have one for my daily driver and race car 8)

  • I can imagine the KLZE is a great car but If i was in the market for an engine conversion it would be a B18C4 from a Teg Type R into either the Del Sol or an EG Civic.

A friend fo mine has an EK Civic with this setup plus Hondata ECU, Coilovers, NSX brakes ect ect and it defines the word 'machine'

  • yeah I'm sure it's nice, but I'd like to see how it goes head to head with a turbo klze…

I'm just not a fan of "common" cars even if they do have a nice setup

  • @ddd4bce376:

yeah I'm sure it's nice, but I'd like to see how it goes head to head with a turbo klze…

Ooooof, the stakes keep getting higher!

buying an mx, fitting a klze then boosting it wouldn't give you a great deal more performance than a B18 Civ to be honest and at a much higher price

  • **Pfft. You don't take the best part out of a Civic and keep the Civic around it.

Nah. You take the K20 and gearbox out and put it into something actually worthwhile…

    Yeah, that'll do it.**

  • @6eaa568ae9=Famine:

sorry i know this has nothing to with anything but WHAT A CHIN OMFG!!!

    I could absail down that!

TBH, At that sort of power I'd be much prefering something RWD rather than an MX or any fwd Honda.

  • Ah the classic argument!

It all comes back to personal preference.

    civic:
buy custom engine mounts, wiring loom, ecu
    cheap parts a plenty
    b18 250-300bhp on stock internals
b18 approx 1k though often with LSD gbox
    lighter than mx3
    granny wagon

    mazda:
just swap in a klze/klde, chip ecu ($40?)
    turbo kits are dirt cheap
300bhp+ on stock internals +more torque
klde on ebay £185 with make offer
    not common as muck
    hairdressers cars sister?

Whatever has the most money in it will win really! Though the mazda has an instant advantage with the plug 'n' play 2.5.

And Ryan has a good point there. AWD conversion mx3 :) Think theres 4 of them now with 323 GTR/x or AWD protege running gear.

  • i got to stick with the mx3
