Clear lights Help…ie side repeaters, indicators etc..

  • I've searched through the forums - but to no avail…

Is there anyway of getting clear indicators, side repeaters and reflectors?
Don't mind modification but would need to know what car they're from and how to do it.

    Cheers!

P.s: Would prefer not to use universal stick on ones!

Try ebay for the bumper lights, they are a bit pricey on the shipping mind…

  • take a look at some of the ford ones …but they may need to be adapted or sorry to say universal fit it is...

  • mine were from mazda 6, only needed a small bit of triming with dremel. cut existing connector and fit with spade lugs, seal up spade lugs to stop any chance of shorting.

fitment it ok, tiny tiny gap can be seen up close but im happy.

  • Some cool ideas guys!
    Keep em coming!

Those clear bumper indicators are awesome, but that shipping is stupid…
What goes through some people's minds?!

you can make these your self its not too bad to do either and cheap

    1. take out your indicator/side light by there 1 screw ad unplug the lights
    2. warm the glue around the edge of the lens and the unclip the lens (this bit is a bit tricky so take your time)
    3. take out the orange plastic from inside and give the lens a good clean if needed
    4. refasten and reseal the lens back on
    5. change the original bulb with a mirrored indicator bulb and plug back in
    6. refit the lens back in
and hey presto clear indicators for the cost of two bulbs

So the lenses are actually separate from an orange piece of plastic? :/

I'm gonna give it a go as well, cus I sure ain't paying nearly £70 for someone to do it for me and send them from the US lol.

  • also i might try this on the next set i do is to spray the inside with chrome paint and see what that looks like

  • before

    after.

use chrome lamps to keep that clear look.

    result

  • I really liked the look of my universal ones. They were only £18, no gaps at all, never came unstuck or anything.

    Whats the problem with them?

LED side light bulbs really make them white at night and look nice if you have gone over to xenon bulbs too, they are about £3.50 a pair if you shop around
