Left hooker engines

  • Lo all,

Will a left hooling KLZE fit into my KLDE mx3 project?

The fact that the steering wheel is on the wrong side would this have any differences then a car with steering wheel on the right and side?

Also can any point me in the way of any good pages with good guide info on a transplant.

    Cheers

  • So you're asking will a KLZE fit your RHD car?

The KL engine blocks have nothing that determines the steering side, that system is completely independant. The only consideration is the master cylinder reservoir which contacts the straight neck KLZE in LHD cars. For us RHD mx-3ers it is just plug and play :)

Not that it matters but true KLZEs are Japanese only meaning that it would have came from a RHD car originally anyway.

Transplant- it's exactly like removing a stock engine and putting it back in. Workshop manual is the best thing for it! PM me if you need it.

  • my car is rhd and the possible donar car is lhd.

Im going to look at it at the weekend to suss out what engine is actualy in it

    cheers
