Is this my radiator or part of the AC unit?

  • Hi guys,

I had a prang recently and bent the grill device at the front of the car. It seems a little small to be the radiator, especially as there is what looks like a much more robust cooling system sitting behind it.

If it is the AC unit, Im not too fussed about moving the car, if its the radiator i'd hesitate to do so. I was going to take it out and replace it, but the metal bracket which also attaches to the bonnet clip seems to be sealed to it with a rusted on bolt at the bottom. Any idea how I'd get the rusted bolt off?

    Cheers,

    Lanu

  • ac is always in front of the engine rad. take the bonnet support rest off that way you can see down the rad easier! try wd40 for the bolts

  • Looks like the radiator i'm afraid bud!!

  • Its the Mazda Mx3 Dis-Conbobulator mate, very expensive part im afraid!

The Rad Dude ;) Cost Fuck all to get another!

  • Assuming you have air con, this is defo the air con rad. I took mine out, along with pump etc.
