Hello…and a couple of questions

  • Hiya,

Im looking to buy a future classic in approx 3 months time.
I have gone through so many car and models that my head is spinning.
I have been a Jap car enthusiast for approx 8 years now. Although my current car (Clio 1.2) is purely for the work commute it has to go and make way for an everyday reliable classic.
A small, fun and characteristic car is required.
The MX-3 fits the bill nicely. :)

I do wish to know if the rear seats are split folding or folding…...being a cycling fan (I hate the boot mounted racks) I'd like to fit my bike in the back. I'm happy to remove both my front and rear wheels but even so a boot with folding rear seat is preferable.

Are there rear speakers in the MX-3 and if so, where are they located?

    Cheers in adavnce.

    Steve

  • The mx 3s rear seats folt down as the pair, but they do fold down prety flat!!
the rear speakers are located beside the parcel shelf, and not on it!

    hope thtas answered ya question!!!

    ps welcome to the site

oh and ive had my brothers racer in my car, all i di was remove parcel shelf!

  • Cheers for the reply.

These 3 months won't go quick enough….not that Im wishing time away. But not having owned a Jap car since March 07 has been very dull indeed....even though my Arosa TDI was great before I sold that.

Im opting for a V6 model. UK car. Leather would be nice....but not vital. As new and as low a mileage as poss.
Im already scanning adverts...even though I can't buy just yet.

  • easily fit two bikes in the back on removing the shelf. along with front wheels. before i sold my old bike used to get the down hill one in and my mates with room for supplies

  • reminds me off when i was looking ti buy mine, it took me ages!!!
well keep looking there are some good buys out there!!!!lol

    Good news.
We got mine and my mates bikes in the back of his 323F. I assume they must be similar room with the MX-3 having 2 less doors. :)

I have to wait 3 months as I have a loan to pay off, followed by MOT'ing my Clio….....

  • yep and if you take the seat out (its just clipped in) the seat will fold completely flat

  • you could also just completely remove the rear seatback folding part… (just 4 bolts) especially if you never have rear passengers

No thanks. I would imagine the noise intrusion to be quite poor.

  • lol, with my standard exhaust in 5th gear doing 50 makes so much noise!!!

without the seats would do your head in!
