me 2. can they be fitted on or mx's. was actually thinking the same as amount of times people have moved my mirrors in car parks

  • yes they can be fitted… I have an mx-6 set on each of my mx-3's :D You just have to move it to the mx-3 base... the main shell is identical + you get better viewing because of the mirror glass type

  • nice one! Must give that a go :) Is there a switch that goes with them or what triggers them?

  • there are 2 types of switches I have seen… of course I have both :D

This is the mx-3/323 type of switch for 92-93 mx-3's... it combines with the rest of the power mirror switches

this switch on the left is what comes in that mx-6… it can also be used on 94-98 mx-3's with the new "bubble style" dash:

  • your mx6 looks good, planning on putting big wheels on it? i have just bought a black mx6.

  • Really sorry, not been around for a while. I completely forgot that I had posted this and have now made a very similar addition to my project thread. Nevermind, I must have been drinking

My 6 doesn't have power folding mirrors. Think that's just the jap imports but I may be wrong.

Bit of a quick update. Driving on the M5 north a lorry infront of me dropped a couple of rocks into the road. First one (pea sized) hit the bonnet, denting it, then bounced into the windscreen, slightly chipping it. The lorry pulled over and I pulled over a little way up the road. The lorry driver got out, checked the back of his truck then got back in and drove off without so much as a comment. I got back in and pursued him up the road. Got a photo of his numberplate and tried to get a photo of the side of the lorry where there was a company name and number as I overtook him.
The bastard slowed right down so I couldn't get the photo and made sure that I wouldn't take details from him.

Two days later I notice that the oil light comes on. This car has never needed so much as a top-up of oil in it's life so I check the level. Completely empty. F*K.
Top it up and it seems to be p
ssing oil out of the underside when it's running.
Insurance cannot give me a courtesy car until they confirm liability which they cannot do till get trace the vehicle from DVLA (2 day wait) so I'm stuck with no transport and being forced to take holiday I cannot afford to take since I have no way to get to work.

Sorry….. Just felt I needed to share my pain...

  • beller sorry to hear about your woe's hope it all gets sorted sooner rather than later.

think you have enough parts now to start building a few cars now don't you?! lol
I've been reading up on your "slow Car" I dof my hat to you sir

  • bellers - sorry to hear about your troubles - sounds like the insurance is making you play the waiting game…

yes tinyrhino - I do have quite a few parts from around the world - it's all part of the international project :D

well the reason I asked is because you have the projector headlights which I was under the impression only were available on the JDM version - but I guess it's just another option

  • no, I thing the only difference with the lights are that the jap ones have the indicators moulded into the same unit. Also I think the fogs are different.
