Nice weekend :)
Belts are on the KLZE, but need to find a really small one for the alternator belt.. the one I got is around 20CM to long..
Both front subframes, power steering pipes and front shock mounts have been brushed back to metal and por15'd (Nice advice Marco, love it)
RS Spoiler has been fixed, now bolts on both sides.
All engine mounts have had their final filling, now just need to harden off.
Rocker covers sprayed, and re-mounted.
Holes drilled ready for the coilovers to be fitted.
JDM front lip sprayed and fitted.Even picked up a Mazdaspeed gear knob on ebay for peanuts.
-
This is sounding good mate! But why did you have to drill holes to fit coilovers
-
One has 3 mounting bolts.. need to drill another hole for them to fit.
-
Went over the box of random crap I've got in the shed and found some.
ARD engine subframe mounts.
ARD track rod bushes.
Some new drop links
New rocker cover bolt hole thingys
A spiny thing that fits on the end of the knuckle (forgot the name)
2 New water pumps
1 new auto cambelt tensioner
another KLZE TBSolved a lot of issues, but opened up a few more jobs to do :(
-
I would call that a Bonus! :)
-
Progress I think..
Just testing a few places out.
-
Looks good man!
Btw answer my pm lol
-
Looking good but is that power steering belt the correct way round the tensioner, thought it went over and not under like on yours in the bottom pic
-
It can't go over it due to the tracks in the belt bud.
-
My mistake lol it is the power steering pump, just looked like a tensioner in that pic

Thank god, was scared for a few seconds I'd have to pull the damn thing out again lol.
-
Did some work on it today :) (as well as taking more parts from the AZ3.
Main engine sub frame is back in place with Corksport brushes all round.
gearbox linkage, short shifter and rear coil overs fitted and fixed
dash is redone with the new HAVC panel
arm rest swapped for the import one and ready to be furried up.and I even practiced my rattle can\sanding skills, or lack there of.
Mainly to get an even spray, and why the hell not?

Image bomb:
Polly screen is 90% done, and some of the rivets went in a little wonky but will be sorted tomorrow.
Spoiler placed on for now,
Hatch opening test video is here:

Hmmm… Can I ask why you have riveted poly rear screen? I've not got round to mine yet, but if or when I do, I will bond it on with some poly sealer

See what they look like really.
Tempted to drill them out, they don't look good in the flesh.
What sealant would you use bud?
-
I would use a PU sealer/adhesive, google PU sealer and see what comes up, or a decent car paint supplier shop should sell them, you'll need to make sure boot and screen surfaces are proper clean/degreased before applying, also don't do it on you own, you'll need to place it carefully and on your own it might be difficult. take your time
-
the specified is siliflex 291
in lori s defence, he brought Robs old polycarb screen for cheap, which he pre drilled for rivits.
think it would look ok with a new seal put in and black rivits.
-
Thanks gents, yeah the holes were pre-drilled.
Will take them out when I get some more plastic glue :)
-
I've got some siliflex 221 would that do the trick?
-
I think it looks great, I would just paint the rivets black :)
