Great place for tyres!

  • A work mate recommended me this place for tryes after he used it
    http://www.tyre-shopper.co.uk/

Pick your tyres online, the price you see is the price fitted! then select your fitting centre and book away. Such a great concept and the 195/50/15 premium tyres are a real bargain :bigok:

  • 195? is that the standard tyre size? mine had 215 so thats what I replaced them with :?

  • std tyre size would be 195/50/15….

    Correction ,...

1.6 lt models are fitted with 185/65/14
1.8 lt models are fitted with 205/55/15

  • hmm, does the size vary dependant on which of the standard alloys you have as mine seem to fit no problems, no overlap/bulging etc

I have corrected my last post Jesta,.. as per the manual on the mx3 the answer according to them is no,..

If you have 17's fitted then 215/40/17 profile is perfect,..

195/50 is just a very popular and common size therefore very cheap for performance tyres thats why I use them on an 8J 8)

  • with tyres its all size dependant on prices,
205/45/17 are twice the price of 205/40/17
It seems a good website and just had a look for 205/40/17 for mine and its still £50 dearer than buying a set of 4 online and then taking to be fitted at a local fitters (NOT KWIKFIT)

  • Depends what brand you buy they have great savings on Michelin and Bridgestone ;)

EDIT > http://www.blackcircles.com/ offer the same service & cheaper too :D

  • I got my Toyo Proxxes from Camskill, £232 for 4 tyres! plus £9.96 for next day delivery total of £241.96, then £20 to get a local tyre fitter to fit. Saved about £60 compared to national tyres, who were the cheapest.

According to my camskill invoice I got the 205/55R15 88 V TL

  • Thats a good saving and a great tyre! I want to see what all the fuss is about the Michelin PE2's (195/50/15=£296 fully fitted)
    (205/40/17 =£561 fully fitted)
    (205/55/15 =£519 fully fitted)

  • rememeber guys the speed rating also effects the price for instance a set for the vec gsi come in at 800 but i can get nakangs for 200 fitted difference is the load and speed rating i personally wouldnt use the nankangs,..

  • Mine arn't even on there!

    205/60/14

  • Time to change sizes then :P
