Yet another car

  • @444bc4cc33=Garfy1981:

i cant really see where the 2.5k is unless that included buying the car originally ? but id be so tempted to swap in the ze and keep it !. whats your plans to do with it?

Factoring in labour costs? i suspect hes having the front bumper away.

  • Hate to say it but i may prefer that eunos over the equipe.

  • Let me know what you do with it.

  • Got the car delivered at 6'30am, the body is mint, has the MS front bumper I want, an ms rear spoiler, brand new alloys and a set of 5 MS ms02 alloys.
I was told the battery was flat but.when it gets here the ignition is dead, the headlights eork and that is it, nothing else electrical works, that tells me either a main fuse has gone or the battery has been connected backwards. If it has its scrap, if I can start it I may save it as the body is mint all round.

  • MS-02's… i want!!!!

  • i didnt know they made ms-02's in 4 stud :) gotta love mazdaspeed rims :D

  • looks like the car I should have bought  :| :x

  • sweet very nice. looks tidy. get some pics up for all us paupers with only one MX

  • Well, not happy with it at all the lying tw*t
someone has tried ripping me off but I will get my money back plus more on this thing

I was toldf the immobiliser was draining the battery and it was dead but will run with a jump start
Got it unloaded at 6.30am and the bloke told me he tried using a jump pack to start it but nothing would go
Lunchtime came along and I had a bit of spare time on my hands so looked into it further
Nothing electrical works with jump leads on it except the headlights, all fuses were good so got under the bonnet and found the 100amp main fuse had blown, when I tried to remove it it has welded itself into the block, not even destroying the fuse and using pliers could I get it out

There are 2 things to this, either therehas been a massive short and burnt out the fuse then once a new fuse fitted and battery charged it could just fire up or which I do hope its not is that the battery has been connected the wrong way round and destroyed everything :x

I have got a new fuse and had to get a new key as that was twisted like a corkscrew so when I get time I will have a crack at it tomorrow

anyway on the UP side of it all

The body is absolutely mint, no scratches or dents anywhere

Mazdaspeed front bumper YAY - no more buying cars in the future for parts (unless requested lol)
Set of 4 brand new alloys with tyres - still trying to find out make
Set of 4 Enkei Racing S split rim 15" alloys
1 x mazdaspeed MS01 alloy wheel with brand new snow tyre fitted :?
Brand new full length stainless exhaust system with 6x3 oval tail
    mazdaspeed rear spoiler
    jdm wind deflectors

So if I cannot start it by next friday it will be stripped and scrapped and no messing, it owes me £415 now all in so anybody need parts make a list because I will gut this and get it towed if I find the electrics are fried

Anyway for sale already is the..
    MS01 wheel
Enkei 15" split rims with 2 brand new tyres
    panasonic CD player

  • Mate you know the 100 amp main fuse is not a pull jobbie like the rest?, it has a hole through the blades and a nut and bolt holding it in, no amount of pulling will get it out!. It's a easy job but you kinda have to dismantle the fusebox.

  • you know what I said that to the old man as he came down to look at it and was adamant it wasnt lol, will have a go tomorrow then hahaha, thanks garfy

  • Yeah I thought it was weird as I think there's a 80 that just pulls out. I stared at mine for ages lol! I changed mine as it was starting to corrode under the viewing plastic.

  • Won't it just fry the engine loom? I've wired my battery up to the car wrong so many times it's unreal. lol

  • wel replaced the main fuse today and its pretty mashed, the starter doesnt want to know it makes the clicking noise you get when its slightly flat but at about 20 clicks a second so theres a good chance its melted solid or siezed from lack of use, the interior light has melted the switch on permanently, you cannot turn it off unless you strip it and remove the bulbs, not even the door switches turn it off and when you try to start the engine, you turn the key back from the start position to usually ignition on and the cooling fans come on and stay on until you disconnect the battery, they then go off and only come back on when you have tried the starter. the drivers side electric window switch appears to be melted and doesnt work and I havent even tried any other electrical parts yet, this was just to try and start it, think there are some melted wires shorting somewhere

on the plus side I found this JDM piece of carpet under the seat

  • have you bought a chocolate car and left it out in the sun lol

  • If you keep it and doing an engine swap… swap the looms over, should only take a few hours with the car stripped anyway.

The import shells are Gavanized, so hard to rust, the shell will outlive your old one.

  • Galvanized? Where did you see that? That makes me feel incredibly unlucky now considering the state of my one!

I had heard from a couple of mechanics about galvo bodies, I have had a few MOt inspectors tell me theat you can tell a jap import from underneath because they are all much better condition than uK ones of the same age

The body on this eunos is mint so if anyone wants a nearly mint shell with tatty interior for a KLDE/ZE project then let me know as it will only go to the scrappy in a few weeks. I will be testing for LSD this week so if it has it, the gearbox will be out in 2 weeks time

Marco, you were lied to in a much bigger way, that was a huge attempt to disguise major problems and a definate scam, mine I bought off a bonehead

Yup why do you think I'm so picky with my cars, I can't be dealing with rust so just pick up a cheep import.

For £120 for a shell is outstanding for somoene with the time and brains to swap.

  • It would be a great project for the right person and the body is great on it, the interior is very tired but all there and will be coming with it
