Bad discovery on the eunos fuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Lol Jdm rust for sale yo

  • what a tosser, good spot on that though

  • Ah man, thats a sickener. It looked like such a minter from the pics. It'd be great if ya could repair it though. If you are going to break it, gimme a shout, I'd be very interested in a few bits. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though.

  • Yea I guess I'll have a better idea on Tuesday. I really didn't expect rust there, never seen it on other mx3s. On the upside if it's not too bad it's not a very cosmetic area for body work buts it's gonna be a pain to get at. Yea no worries. There'll be a long list of parts its broken!

  • If your whipping the engine out of it anyway, might as well fix it bud, never seen a mx3 rust at that spot tho,

2-4 days welding? for a mint jdm mx3 to a mx3 fan isn't really that much, tho negative feedback is a cert.

  • @dde47ca8f2:

    Dear Andrew

The car is effectively a write off, far from mint, and has many rust spots:
    Rusted through passenger floor panel
Cowl / Scuttle panel rusted and fiberglassed over – visible from engine bay
Hole from below windscreen passenger side into passenger cabin
Metal plate welded in adjacent to rusted through floor panel
Crash damage to frame rail – frame rail bent

    Additionally:
    Multiple dents on car
    Multiple scratches
Brembro brakes are fake pieces of plastic stuck on
Front splitter is cracked in several places
Sideskirts are cracked in several places
Paint colours are not matched on splitter and sideskirt sections
Front bumper shows major paintwork flaws
Coolant leaking from filler neck of engine
Rust above windscreen visible from the outside
Interior shows considerable wear – not mint.
Rear tyres incorrect profile for car – tyres wearing into rear arches – blowout danger
Not one lady owner – HPI shows 7

You have effectively knowingly decieved me into this purchase. I'm really dissappointed as you knew my plans for this car. I can provide evidence of all of the above if required. I sincerely hope you take it upon yourself to do the right thing and at least offer a significant refund of the amount paid.

    Sincerely,
    Marc Harrington

  • I hope he does do something about it bud

  • Yea like delete his eBay account probably! Thanks though, I hope he does too. I couldn't do that to someone and not feel wrought with guilt.

  • if ur really wanting an import for reasons i dont know why as u have all the MS stuff there and another engine mine is on ebay atm for 500 and i cant see it getitng much more tbh

if ur interested i will PM you with some more info

  • Thanks. It's not really about being an import. It's just about getting as mint an mx3 as possible, with very very little or zero rust, no crash damage ever.

  • Really gutted for you mate, what a lying little sh*t!

  • holy shit mate, i didnt realise it was that bad. if i knew i would have warned you off it. i knew about the paint but i did tell you about that. sorry about that, hope i didnt tempt you into buying it (even though i was trying to put you off with the tapping engine noise ;) )

  • You will not believe the reply from the seller. At a body shop now getting an evaluation. Don't worry about it Dan! Hopefully get money back on parts. @f8cb6a0445:

yes i would like to see the paper work from a fully qualified mechanic to point out the rust you mention and the damage to frame rails!! has to be a fully qualified mechanic or mot tester i recieve this info from or no refund will be paid… your mate viewed the car and checked all these things before giving you the go ahead in buying it. i had this car checked by my friend who is an mot tester and said there was no welding or rust that needed attention!!! that car is a bloody good car, dont try and fucking rip me off, you bought it fair and square i told you a couple of places didnt match on the side skirts and splitter and told dan aswell as it sufferd from stone chips so i repainted it... there was no dents or scratches when i left the car at dans. he viewed the car and would have told you before hand if there was any bodywork damage when he viewed it!!! so the damage must have occured in the time it was left parked at dans. 7 owners... yeah whatever, the lady who i bought it from told me she had it since it was imported into the uk and are the brakes really plastic covers? i dont think so!!! when ive heard from or recieved a pre mot prferabley from your mechanic/mot tester then we will talk again. until then buy and thanks for purchaseing my car.

  • @c49711d4d1:

    Dear mx3marc,

effectively a wright off, how dare you. stop trying to rip me off. like ive said in my previous messgae, get me official proof of all these problems and a small refund may be eligible. but your friend did view the car before hand and gave you the go ahead in purchaseing, so in theory if htese problems were there when the vehicle was viewd, they should have been found as dan did look into great detail at the car.

    • andrew07544

  • Sounds a little defensive, hmmmm.

So i guess you need to do what he asks and i really hope u know an MOT tester who can gice you a full list of the problems so you can get the small refund mentioned!

  • Id be kicking the living shit out of the guy period,….

sounds like a right tool tbh,.. appears theres a few out there scammimg peeps just like this mate sorry youve been caught like it...
Hope you get something back ....

  • cant believe he thinks the damage occoured here pmsl. i gave marco the exact mileage of the car when it turned up and i didnt move the car, just started it occasionally to keep the battery charged up. again, i am sorry mate, i really didnt think it looked that bad from first inspection.

  • @032b257cab:

    Dear Andrew,

You said "this car has no rust what so ever, never had any welding" -

Photo of welded in patch: http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f295/marcdh/eunos rust/IMG_0602.jpg

Photo of footwell rust above patch: http://s49.photobucket.com/albums/f295/marcdh/eunos rust/?action=view¤t=IMG_0604.jpg
Photo of rusted out cowl: http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f295/marcdh/eunos rust/IMG_0605.jpg
Photo of fiberglass that should be metal: http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f295/marcdh/eunos rust/IMG_1778.jpg

You said "Brembo front brake callipers" - see video removing fake brembro brakes with one finger: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=017KJGlWUxs

You said "not a scratch or dent to be seen" - only due to Dan visiting I knew this was not true. You are required to state the truth in any car listing, not to deceive. You did not state in the listing the dents, scratches, mismatched paint.

I took a plane to Exeter from Belfast just to get this car. I drove 900km+ and a ferry to get it home only to find it was rusted out under the windscreen, had welding done underneath to cover a hole in the passenger footwell and more. Can you not see my point of view? I wanted this car to be everything you said it was in the description. I could live with the gearbox being sloppy, the engine rattling, the couple of dents and scratches, the mismatched paint but the rust is just beyond what can be sensibly repaired. I have been to a bodyshop today who have stated the windscreen will need to be removed, old section removed, donor car section of the cowl/scuttle from another car or from Mazda welded in, plate underneath fixed, footwell fixed, rust above roof fixed. I can get a full report on the cost of repair - which alone will cost £40-60.

    Sincerely,
    Marc
