Little KLZE question

  • Alright, i searched whole internet but still have a few questions, i can get my hands on a Longneck KLZE so i'm going to try the swap but!,..

    • need to replace accu (no worries)
    • need to fill motormounts (no worries)
    • need to adjust/change my brake fluid reservoir?

Rest is just plug and play i thought?

Ant comments or adds to this?

  • Welcome. Your going to buy that red klze right?

You are asking for a lot of stuff that has already been posted like everywhere.. The dutch forum has some writeups, so has the american.
It's not just taking the old one out and stamping the ze in. You need to change the ECU, probably chip it, swap a bunch of sensors from your old block to the new..
Hope you know what you're doing, becouse it isn't a 1:1 fit at all..
Btw, you also need to lower the rear motormount.

I got an oilpan over here which you might need for that block since it has a massive turbo oil return on it..

yes, need to replace ecu for either KL36 or KL31 ecu.

can keep mounts as they are, or fill them, or upgrade them, all depends on thier condition and how you are going to treat motor.

if your LHD then the long neck manifold hits the brake fluid reservoir, either swap in the curved neck manifold, or use spacers to tilt the engine enough to clear reservoir, will be very tight tho.

yes apart from some minor adjustments it is plug and play.
