What a week! (story of my life)

  • Here is how my week has gone (emo moment alert)

First of all, I come out of work to find a half flat tyre, turned out the person who owned it before me had filled it with that tyre foam stuff and forgot to mention it, and I have driven a good 5 thousand miles like it to, so new tyre for me, While I was at the tyre place I asked them to check the other tyre that was always slowly going down, and same problem, tyre foam! so two new tyres for me.
The most annoying part is they weren't even very worn :(

Then I was informed that one of my other tyres was almost illegal, and would need replacing asap but since the first two tryes broke my bank account I couldn't afford a third.
Then to rub salt in the wound a brake light stopped working, so I changed that too.
When I got home I checked my MOT certificate out of pure curiosity as to when it expired, and that was in two days time!
Got her booked in and had the test done, and BOOM failed :( turns out I have a split cv boot, and a roll bar linkage has literally broken in half and is flapping around under the car.
After a quick trip to a certain online auction site, the required parts were bought with money I don't have.
To top off all this, my tax runs out at the end of the month.

So to sum up, basically, another mx is off now the road :( hopefully only temporarily, but still, bad times!
Oh how I hate cars sometimes!

  • badluck mate shit happens…..good rant lol

Thanks, I needed to get it off my chest Lol

  • rotten luck dube hate when things like that happen

  • me too, poor cras now sitting in my garden waiting for the mail man to arrive. worst part is now i have to get a lift to work every day.

  • Unlucky man :( Hopefully the CV boot is only at fault and u wont need a CV joint the drop links are not that expensive and to be fair its not very much to sort it out yourself you should be looking around £30 for the parts if u do it
    urself.

Im sure any local members will be happy to help keep a MX is on the road

If u were from Edinburgh I would have fitted it all for you :(

Best of luck bud all the best

  • thanks man, I got the parts I need off ebay just waiting for them to turn up, hopefully within the time where I can get a free re-test lol

The fitting them aint the gonna be too much hassle, it's just having the effort to bother after the amount of money I seem to be throwing at the car lately >.<

I gotta admit it has been well looked after, but the most annoying part is, although she's back on the road, the stabilizer linkage now knocks like hell, and it's been re-tightened once >.<
stupid thing keeps coming loose lol
