MX springs

  • Just a quicky, do 1.6 springs fit the 1.8 V6, I am guessing they are the same but some companies list them seperately.

I am also pretty sure that I read somewhere 323 use the same struts so I would guess the same springs too can anyone confirm as 323 springs are about 40% cheaper

Cha ching, yup, they are the same, Famine and myself compared them when we lowered my car at the weekend and they are the same

I'd sell you my old ones but they were absolutely, unbelievabley, Ffffffffffffull of rust.

  • I am looking at some used lowering 1.6 springs but also the the 323 lowering springs, are they the same as the 323

Dunno about the 323 sorry bud. If I were you, I wouldn't touch used lowering springs.

I did think that but they are on the car and have seen them sat on them

  • **MX-3 springs are MX-3 springs. 323 springs (and struts) are not - the MX-3 doesn't share any compression component with the 323.

    Checked my group buy?**

OK thanks, I have put my name to it but I have to think of getting in and out the drive so I really only need 25/30mm

I dropped 40mm and all is good so far. AS far as I can see, you would probably be safe dropping an MX3 about 50mm before you need to worry about any scraping issues.

P.S. I have a fairly large lip to my yard which a friend of mine got his Starlet's sump guard stuck on

  • ive droped mine by 40mm and my splitter scrapes on kirbs when i park in town but other than all good
