are these brakes lines specific to the mx3, could they be used on a mk2 golf ??

If the s**t fits as they say.
I would try them, there is only a few types of pitch of thread on brake hoses and pipes. Length would probably be ok.

Goodridge make a correct set for the Golf, buy that instead.
