P.S how do i actually post pictures lol. also i am well pi$$ed as my insurance renual has gone up by £350. has anyone else experienced this?

  • **Mine went up by £100 on each car. We have five cars. 'Nuff said.

To post images, upload to something like ImageShack (click Images/Videos, Browse and find the pictures you want to upload then click "Upload"). Then copy the text in "Direct Link" and past it here between image tags.

    For example
    Direct link: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5772/gayspidy.gif
    Image tagged: [i[i:d6b2317629]mg]http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5772/gayspidy.gif[/i[i:d6b2317629]mg]
    Result: **

  • To post pics is a bit confusing at first but once you get the nack its easy, you need an account for www.photobucket.com then add pics, click on share and add the link code.
They were on about the hike on insurance costs on the radio today blaming young drivers for crashing too much.

  • Famine is imageshack quicker to use than photobucket?

  • cool so i sign up to one of the above image uploaders then copy the url to the reply on here. yeah the insurance thing sucks as i just got my first years no claims at 24 and i have never had an accident. hopefully it will drop next year.

No serious mods to the car yet except lightweight Lorber 15 inch deep dish alloys ( my first attempt at spraying ever ) black dish with chrome spokes and a cone filter. i was thinking of some sort of supercharger type thing to increase the torque at low revs as it is pretty poor. any ideas? its a standard 1.8V6 block but its too new for the engine conversion.

It's much of a muchness. I find Imageshack more reliable and you don't need to sign up. All my images in my projects thread are Imageshack-hosted.

  • Mine went up by £100 this year too, so I moved and found one that was a little cheaper :D .

But 3 years ago my ZE was £290 pa now its £390 pa.

30 yrs old, no points, 6yrs no claims, car garaged, 7000 miles limit, social only, 3rd party.

Through HIC insurance, they mainly do modified cars, its actually more expensive to insure a bog standard MX-3 with them???

  • Here is a couple of pics of my car as it stands. hope u guys like the wheels. nice lightweight lorber deep dish alloys :) i will upload more when i get the time.

  • sorry for some reason they didnt come out lol

  • i tried again hopefully worked this time

  • no comments on the car…. is it that bad? lol

  • nice car mate

  • Lol. Love clean White mx s. Only thing is colour makes the HUGE side indicators stand out!. Still a nice clean example tho. Can't see any rust on arches yet either!

Lol, no I think it's the pure immensity of the size of the pics that people can't see the car as a whole to comment, but from what I can see on my screen, it looks spot on mate, needs some lowness going on though.

  • yeah it is pretty high. i am thinking of a 40mm drop. soz bout the pics. i used imageshack and they looked fine on there but they blew up on here. dont know why. yeah it is clean at the mo but it does get dirty very quick due to the air filter. makes it smoke like there is no tomoro. think i will invest in a k&n kit

  • the pics do look better in the members garage. they fit the screen better there haha

Think lower. That's all I can say, I did a 40mm drop and to be honest there's a hell of a lot left in the arches to make it flush, I can't really tell the difference still (and I did it a few months ago with Famine), you really wanna be sticking some coilovers on there.

Stuff the K&N, go to http://www.fordprobestore.co.uk/store/ and get yourself one of his CAI's specifically made for the MX3. I think you'll find the rest of the forum will agree with this.

  • it doesnt usually look that high. i think its cos its parked on a slope. i will check that out as soon as the misses gets off the laptop. are they any good then?

When you hang around with Civic owners they look like 4x4's lol. I couldn't tell you if they are any good because they don't make them for the 1.6 but I'm sure the V6 guys will let you know, plus they look cool aswell

  • personal im a k&n fan ive had one on my 1.6 for two years now and its still going stong it will be putting it on the v6 soon.
i just dont trust cheaper brands

  • yeah i love the k&n as well. used to have one on my mondeo and just made it run alot smoother than the cone filter i had before which is now on the mazda. but the cone filter performs better than the stock air filter and sounds alot better too. gives it a meaty sound
