Given up trying to sell her, scrap yard here we come :(

  • I am now the proud owner of my second MX-3, she's done just over 100k miles, idle's slightly higher than she should, and need's a tiny lacquer touch up on the top of the boot lid, but other than that she's pretty much immaculate.
has full service history, every single MOT since 30k miles and every receipt for everything ever bought for her, and I got her for £1000! I forgot how much I loved the engine noise these things make :D

Only got one pic of her so far, but will post more pics soon.

    EDIT

    List of jobs finished.

    Replace stabilizer linkages
    replace CV joint
    Replace air pipe

List of jobs to be done.

My first mod! thanks to Marco =] bug eye stuff

    Browsing the forums

Found this picture the other day of my first MX-3, RIP :( paint looks really faded but it was just nasty artificial lighting

  • what is that bug eye stuff ?

  • hahaha another green fly eyed MX I am really setting a trend with this stuff, like hitler did with little moustaches LOL

Next cheap mod you can try is white enamel alloys for under £15.
They go soooo well with the green MX

    Its simple, you need
    1 can spray primer
1 can of household white radiator enamel
    2 cans of lacquer.

Make sure the alloy is clean and oil free
    apply coat of primer
Then hand paint with a brush 2 coats of radiator enamel.
( use radiator enamel as it will not discolour with heat and oils )
Then finish with 2 coats of lacquer, this gives it a deep shine, glossy finish and covers the brush marks perfectly

Voila - enameled alloys for under £15, it works my white alloys have lasted about a year so far and still in good order and sparkling white
